Service Project Scientist, GMP

Job Description

Cergentis, one of the Solvias sites, is a leading provider of high-end genetic QC solutions, located at the Utrecht Science Park in The Netherlands. Based on our proprietary and widely published Targeted Locus Amplification (TLA) technology platform, our solutions are considered as the gold standard for the genetic characterization and quality control of genetically engineered cell lines, immunotherapy products and animals. We routinely support all leading pharma, biotech and academia globally in the fields of genome editing, biopharmaceutical drug development, cell and gene therapy and genetically engineered (animal) models.

Currently, we are looking for a Service Project Scientist, GMP to support our data analysis team and our ambition to obtain GMP license.

You will be part of the QC Service Team, which currently consists of 12 members, and is responsible for processing customer samples within a defined turnover time using our TLA technology, NGS and ddPCR, and in future more in-house developed techniques. We receive a wide variety of samples, making every project unique and challenging. To provide our customers with the highest quality data and results, we are currently working according to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards, while being in the process of implementing GMP compliance. Also, we are working on continuous improvement using LEAN Six Sigma.

Our Service Project Scientists analyze and report the generated NGS data that are prepared by the Service Team Lab members. Writing the report based on the analyzed data and review of reports written by other Service Project Scientists are your main responsibilities. In future our portfolio of analyses will be extended.

Requirements

  • Enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team and contributing to the QC service team activities in analyzing generated NGS data and writing reports.
  • Enjoys working in a GMP compliant working environment.
  • Has an affinity for working with Bio-informatic tools.
  • Is customer-oriented and comfortable in a commercial environment.
  • Is a flexible team player, fluent in English and is self-driven.
  • A PhD degree in Molecular Biology or equivalent.
  • Experience in and knowledge of reporting in a GMP compliant environment.
  • Excellent training and experience in genetic analysis, preferable NGS data.
  • A pragmatic attitude, is accurate, committed to quality and is a fast learner.
