This alliance combines Patheon’s experience and expertise in formulation development with Solvias AG’s reputation of excellence in pre-formulation and solid state chemistry. 10/08October 29, 2008 Solvias Announces Construction of cGMP Kilo Lab in Basel (Switzerland) Solvias has announced the construction of its new kg-scale cGMP manufacturing plant in Basel, which is planned to be operational within Q2/09. The facility will complement the existing state-of-the-art kilo lab by rapid and cost-effective manufacturing of materials destined for use in clinical studies for phase I/IIa, and by providing flexible access to state-of-the-art 30l– 100l multi-purpose reactors capable of running reactions from - 60 to + 200°C. Wet processing will be carried out in a reactor room, while dry processing will be performed in a separate finishing area. 09/08September 30, 2008 Solvias Has Acquired an Exclusive License for Homogeneous Catalysis Technology from Evonik Solvias AG, Basel (Switzerland) has acquired an exclusive license from Evonik Degussa GmbH, Essen (Germany) to develop, manufacture, and market the catASium® and cataCXium® ligand product lines. The new license will enhance the status of Solvias as one of the most capable excellence centers for homogeneous catalysis and High Throughput Screening (HTS). 3/08March 25, 2008 Record Sales for Solvias AG 2007 was a record year for Basel-based Solvias AG, which increased its sales by 20%. Total revenue including licensing increased by CHF 10.5 million to CHF 63.5 million. Sales from international business topped those in Switzerland for the first time. 2/08February 6, 2008 Solvias Constructs New Building in Kaiseraugst The Board of Directors of Solvias AG in Basel has decided to build a new headquarters in Kaiseraugst. February 15, 2006 Solvias to Introduce High Throughput Catalysis Screening Services Solvias launches its first full-scale High-Throughput Catalysis Screening Service for asymmetric homogeneous hydrogenation. The fully automated system utilizes standard 96-well plates combined with analysis by supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and gas chromatography (GC). 3/05March 23, 2005 Solvias Posts Substantial Sales Growth With a 14% increase in 2004 total revenue, Solvias is back on track for growth. Sales grew by 6% in Switzerland, were as an overproportional increase was also recorded in the European markets. In the United States sales also outperformed expectations, with growth remaining strong in 2005. 1/05January 18, 2005 Solvias Signs Research and Development Agreement with Pfizer Inc. Solvias AG announced 2005 the execution of a research and development agreement with Pfizer Inc., Global Research and Development. This agreement will allow Pfizer to access Solvias’s chiral ligand and asymmetric catalysis technology for the process development and manufacture of single enantiomer drugs. 10/04October 8, 2004 BASF Signs Cooperation Agreement with Solvias New alliance enhances BASF’s technology platform for optically active intermediates. BASF has signed a cooperation agreement with Solvias AG, Basel, Switzerland. In cooperation with Solvias, BASF will use these ligands to manufacture optically active intermediates for the life sciences industry. |
